Mike Alsford earned his PhD in Durham conducting researching into the philosophy of human identity. Since then he has continued his interest in human nature, philosophy and contemporary culture.
As a long time comic and fantasy geek Mike has published books on comic heroes and villains and the various philosophies found in the science fiction genre. These research interests are found reflected in the BA Graphics & Illustration programme. Mike has two cats and likes a good tune.
