From a legal perspective Cambridge School of Visual and Performing Arts (CSVPA) is a trading division of Cambridge Arts and Sciences Limited (“CASL”), which also contains the trading entity CATS College Cambridge. Cambridge Arts & Sciences Limited (CASL) is a private limited company incorporated in England and Wales and registered with Companies House under company number 03454690 and having its registered office at Kett House, Station Road, Cambridge CB1 2JH
CASL is owned by Cambridge Education Group Colleges Limited, which is in turn owned by Cambridge Education Group.
The higher education programmes delivered at CSVPA are validated by Kingston University, Falmouth University, University of the Arts London Awarding Body and Trinity College London. The further education programmes delivered at CSVPA are accredited by the University of the Arts London Awarding Body.

The directors of CASL have legal responsibility for CSVPA and CATS Cambridge including compliance with UK company law and all other relevant laws, regulations and codes of practice and act as the governing body of CASL. The governing body is unambiguously and collectively accountable for institutional activities, taking all final decisions on matters of fundamental concern within its remit.
The directors of CASL, through the CEG Executive Committee, have established a committee responsible for the operation of CSVPA under the name of CSVPA Board. The role of CSVPA Board is to ensure CSVPA continues to develop and operate as a critical, cohesive academic community with a commitment to the assurance of standards supported by effective quality systems.
CSVPA Board reports through its Rector to the CEG Executive Team.

Core membership of the Board: CSVPA Rector (Chair), CASL Finance Business Partner, Marketing Director of CSVPA , Director of Student Recruitment, Provost, Student Liaison Officer , CSVPA Strategy & Development Director, Director of Operational Quality and HR Business Partner.
The following are invited to the Board at regular intervals to report on and discuss matters specific to their areas of responsibility: Group Director of Property & Operations, Compliance Business Partner, Operations Manager, Head of Student Administrative Services and senior CEG IT representatives.
Academic Board was established by CSVPA Board to demonstrate academic governance of its standards in operation and provide a focus for the development of its academic strategies and policies. It is supported in fulfilling its responsibilities by three other committees: Academic and Student Affairs Committee (ASAC); Academic Planning and Resources Committee (APRC); and, Research and Enterprise Committee (REC). The Academic Board meets four times a year.
