Graphics & Illustration (1 week)
Using both traditional and digital techniques you will explore contemporary communication design and narrative illustration. By experimenting with a wide range of skills you will produce work that demonstrates aspects of both Graphical and Illustrative theory and studio based processes.
Through a series of engaging tasks, students learn how their work can be developed and finalised through both hand-rendered and digital techniques, building a body of artwork that extends their thinking and supports future college applications.
Skills developed include composition, illustrative techniques, typography, and portfolio creation. By the end of the course, students will think more creatively about their use of materials, mediums and composition, develop a broad understanding of typography and illustrative techniques, and gain a basic understanding of digital software to output portfolio-ready final work.
