CSVPA Celebrates Outstanding Media Recognition Following Graduate Fashion Week Success

CSVPA is celebrating an exceptional wave of media coverage following the outstanding achievements of our BA (Hons) Fashion and BA (Hons) Fashion Branding & Creative Communication students at this year’s Graduate Fashion Week.

As one of the UK’s most prestigious showcases for emerging creative talent, Graduate Fashion Week provided the perfect platform for our students to present their innovative collections, creative campaigns and industry-ready portfolios. Their exceptional work not only impressed industry professionals and secured multiple award nominations but also attracted significant attention from regional and national media.

The success of our students was prominently featured across Cambridge’s leading local publications. Cambridge Independent dedicated a full-page article to celebrating CSVPA’s presence at Graduate Fashion Week, highlighting the creativity, ambition and achievements of our graduating cohort. Meanwhile, Cambridge News showcased our success with an impressive double-page spread, recognising the talent emerging from CSVPA and the impact our students made at the national event.

Industry recognition extended beyond local media. International fashion news platform FashionUnited published an article spotlighting our students’ graduate collections and the impressive number of Graduate Fashion Week award nominations received by CSVPA.

Adding to this recognition, our two Graduate Fashion Week award winners, Rebecca and Safiya, were featured in Luxyora, an online editorial platform dedicated to emerging luxury brands, designers and creative events. The article celebrated their individual achievements and recognised them as exciting new voices within the fashion industry.

CSVPA’s influence on the future of fashion was also explored in a feature published by Strand Magazine, which highlighted how our students are bringing fresh ideas, cultural depth and creative optimism to an evolving global industry. Through interviews with CSVPA students Rebecca, Safiya and Raven, the article showcased the diverse perspectives, creative ambition and personal stories shaping the next generation of designers. The feature also included insights from Karin Askham, Rector of CSVPA, who reflected on the changing landscape of the fashion industry and the biggest challenges facing emerging designers today, while highlighting the importance of creativity, resilience and innovation in building successful careers.

The breadth of media attention received following Graduate Fashion Week reflects the exceptional standard of work produced by our students and reinforces CSVPA’s reputation as a leading destination for creative education. This recognition demonstrates the strength of our programmes, the dedication of our academic staff and the exciting future awaiting our graduates as they begin their careers in the global fashion industry.
