Course Leader MA Fashion Branding & Creative Communication

Andrew is a London-based designer working at the intersection between fashion design, fashion communication and education.

Andrew has a background in traditional tailoring for womenswear, which he pursued at the National College of Art and Design in Dublin, Ireland. Upon graduation, he re-located to London, where he worked for JW Anderson, the zeitgeist-setting label at the centre of contemporary British Fashion.

Andrew later graduated with an MA in Womenswear at the Royal College of Art, where he studied under a full scholarship. Through this experience, Andrew developed a sophisticated and innovative approach to materials, combining new technology with traditional methodologies. Upon graduation, he was awarded both the OTB Prize and the Pitti Imagine Award at the prestigious International Talent Support Awards 2020.

Collaboration is central to the success of his multidisciplinary design endeavours and, to date, he has co-developed footwear, fragrance and eyewear collections. Andrew’s design credentials also dovetail with his experience in fashion communication and production design. Through extensive freelance work with Gainsbury & Whiting, Andrew has worked on the development and execution of fashion shows for international brands, including Alexander McQueen, Burberry, Bottega Veneta, Victoria Beckham and Ports 1961.

Andrew is also engaged in fashion writing, and has worked as a freelance contributor for 1Granary and Sacrebleu Magazine. His interest in fashion publishing was first explored during his studies at the RCA, where his concept for a subscription-based fragrance periodical titled ‘Sachet Magazine’ earned him the IFF ‘Future of Fragrance Award’ in 2019.

Andrew joined the staff at CSVPA in 2019, where he now leads MA Fashion Branding & Creative Communication. His passion for education is reflected in his dynamic approach to practice-based learning and research.
