Since graduating from CSVPA, Tiana has gone on to sign a record deal with Manila Music Records and has collaborated with many GRAMMY award-winning recording artists including TLC, Faith Evans, Sage the Gemini and Latin reggaeton J Alvarez. She also recently performed at the official Pre-GRAMMY award party.

From an early age, Tiana exhibited a passion for the Performing Arts. Upon graduating from high school in the Philippines, Tiana honed her talent with us and joined our intensive two-year accelerated course in Musical Theatre.

We recently caught up with Tiana and asked her to share her experience at CSVPA with us...

Why did you choose to study our Musical Theatre course?

I chose to study this course because I wanted to quickly improve my acting, dancing and singing skills. I also fell in love with the location - Cambridge is beautiful and I wanted to be in a small school where tutors focus on student one-to-ones. I knew CSVPA would be the best option for me!

Was there anything you were worried about before starting the course?

I was definitely worried about moving to a new country I had never visited before, making friends and trying to fit in; but I settled in really well and the staff helped me have such a smooth transition to starting life in Cambridge. I thought it would be so hard to overcome those worries but the teachers, the school and the environment was definitely everything I could ever ask for. I had nothing to worry about!

Would you recommend the course?

I would definitely recommend the course. I loved the one to one’s with the tutors and the constructive criticism and support I received. I definitely wouldn't be where I am today without my foundation at CSVPA.

What skills have you learnt on the course?

Too many to name all of them! I definitely learnt great foundations in singing, dancing, acting, public speaking and performance as a whole.

Did you enjoy studying in Cambridge?

I had the time of my life and met some of my dearest friends during my time at CSVPA.

How has the course inspired you or motivated you?

What inspired me the most was how hard people really worked, that definitely helped me when I moved onto the professional field here in Los Angeles.

Can you summarise your experience of the course in 3 words?

Invigorating. Active. Entertaining.
