Teachers of Year 10 and 11 students who wish to pursue careers in the creative industries are being invited to sign up their students to find out more about post-16 education options at a free Art & Design workshop being hosted by Cambridge School of Visual and Performing Arts (CSVPA) next month.
Open to teachers, Year 10 and 11 students and their parents, the session will offer education and careers guidance, as well as the opportunity to take part in a series of practical workshops in Graphic Design, Fashion & Photography. It is being hosted from 10am on Saturday 24th March at CSVPA’s Sturton Street campus.
“We are very keen to help local students understand the opportunities open to them in Art and Design and will explain the different routes they can take through sixth form, university and into Industry,” explained Rupert Morgan, Course Leader for CSVPA’s Extended Diploma in Art and Design. “In the past, local students from many schools in Cambridge and the surrounding areas have excelled in CSVPA’s international environment. All our students benefit from excellent facilities and resources and strong links with industry. Furthermore, we have a fantastic record of progressing students to the top creative arts universities internationally.”
Limited places are available, so teachers are being urged to register now to avoid disappointment.
