Led by CSVPA and held at King’s College chapel over 3 weeks, Architecture students from CSVPA collaborated with BA Art students from Cambridge University in a continuous line drawing project called ‘Arts Lab’.
Starting in pairs, each group shared ideas inspired by the architectural surroundings of King’s College chapel.
Using the same piece of paper, each pair worked either beside or opposite one another responding intuitively to one another’s drawing.
Sam Race, Art and Design Lecturer at CSVPA, who organised the ‘Arts Lab’ explains, ‘The aim was to encourage conversation and artistic experimentation by facilitating a visual dialogue between students from both institutions.’
By the third workshop students worked in a group, drawing one large panoramic piece, spread across the floor in the shape of a cross.
