A music foundation programme can help you audition successfully for music college and university
For aspiring musicians and musical professionals, hard work and competition is nothing new. In an engaging, competitive field like music that requires a combination of talent, rigorous training, and dedication, it is of the utmost importance that students begin preparing for their qualifications and eventual career path early in a top quality programme.
Recently, CSVPA Music Foundation Course Leader Liz Nantais led a webinar outlining the many ways in which the CSVPA music foundation programme prepares students to successfully audition for music colleges and university programmes. Keep reading to learn more about the most important points of the webinar.
There are two main paths of progression for students in music foundation programmes. Many students come to CSVPA with the intention of applying to one of nine top music colleges in the UK:
“The reason a lot of students are interested in these music colleges is because they offer a lot of opportunity for performance,” says Nantais. “These colleges offer more individual lessons and they focus very specifically on performance training.”
