What to expect

Year One

To help you realise your designs in 3D, you will learn key skills that underpin research, design and development. You'll achieve this through a mixture of classes and workshops teaching sewing and presentation skills to digital skills and pattern cutting using Gerber CAD/CAM. You will complete the year showcasing your work at a professional fashion show.

Year Two

Core skills are refined and advanced via hands-on workshop and classes. The focus is on 'live' design projects where you will negotiate a professional placement within the industry to better understand all aspects of fashion commerciality. Building from last year, you will round off the year showcasing a selection of your work at a fashion show.

Year Three

The final year demands a self-directed approach with modules including a series of 'warm-up' projects followed by the development and presentation of your final collection. You'll take ownership of your portfolio choosing how to digitally present it and, in some cases, a short promotional video is created. On successful completion of the course, final year students will have the opportunity to participate in our high profile Graduate Show in London and possibly outside of the UK.
