China , CSVPA, BA Fashion

Before coming to CSVPA I was living in China studying at High School. My agent recommended CSVPA and I decided to come here because of the good location, good facilities and the good surroundings for studying. I joined in January 2008 onto the Art & Design Pre-Foundation and when I completed that I moved onto year 1 of the BA course.

My time at CSVPA was really good, I settled in really well. I felt relaxed and happy because I got along well with my tutors and classmates. We helped each other a lot and we had a really good time. The staff were very kind and very supportive. Jane helped me a lot and I remember our essay tutor helped us with our essays. She did that very carefully and it was very touching and I was very impressed. What also impressed me was when I moved onto the BA programme at CSVPA, how every degree student had their own sewing machine and mannequin. The irons are also professional irons.

The one thing I would never forget is that I met my best friends in CSVPA, we still keep in touch even we are not at the same college.

If you are a student who is thinking on coming to CSVPA my advice to you would be - try hard, do your best, keep working, don't be lazy! You are going to be in Fashion world, fashion is all about changing, trend, and following up, so if you are lazy then you will fall behind. If you keep working hard and make progress, you will get in to your favourite university for sure.”

Chi Chi left CSVPA in 2009 and to join UAL - London College of Fashion (LCF) where she is studying BA (Hons) FDT Womenswear.

Now in her final year at LCF she has been nominated for WGSN Global Fashion Awards 2011 – Most Creative Student Collection
