Before coming to CSVPA I did an IB in Mexico, my home country. I chose to study Theatre as a subject and in my free time I did some professional and amateur theatre work. I came over first of all for the CSVPA Summer School for Contemporary Theatre and Musical Theatre. While there, the teachers suggested I audition for the Foundation.

The training here is very personalised, not like any normal drama school. The students get the full focus of the teachers, and you use that focus in your work. The school and the city of Cambridge has such a young atmosphere, you feel connected and part of something special. The atmosphere is very hands on and you can use that to develop yourself and your work.

It has been amazing this year. We have such a close group of actors who are all kind and friendly and keen to explore. You feel free here and this allows you to feel confident with others. After the foundation I have signed up to an actor’s list at Cambridge University. They have a programme where through theatre you can find ways of developing communities with children in India.
