Country: Spain
Destination: Cardiff University
Studying:
BA (Hons) Architectural Studies

"My main reason for coming to the UK to study was because of the reputation of the British education system. It is widely-regarded as the best in Europe, and has some of the best universities in the World.

A friend of mine had studied at Cambridge School of Visual and Performing Arts and recommended the school to me. When I came to look around I was really impressed. The location is excellent – right in the heart of Cambridge, and the teachers are really nice and professional.

Studying here has given me the chance to meet people from around the world, it’s broadened my mind. The project work we have done has increased my passion for architecture and improved my technical skills."

Eduardo Iregui

Eduardo

Country: Colombia
Destination: Kingston University
Studying:
BA (Hons) Photography

"My journey to CSVPA was quite a long one. I first came to the UK when I was 11 when my parents enrolled me in a boarding school. I really didn’t enjoy it and disliked academic study, so I failed my exams and returned home for a few years. After my GCSEs, my parents enrolled me in another UK school to study A levels, which again I didn’t enjoy and subsequently didn’t do very well.

For me, the Foundation Programme at CSVPA was my last chance. At first I thought it was going to be easy, and that I would have time to relax without having to work too hard. I soon learnt, however, that to be a good photographer and succeed takes a lot of hard work! I’m really glad I stayed.

The best thing about the Foundation course here was the initial rotations. It gave me a chance to try new subjects and explore different possibilities. It’s also a great way to meet all the teachers and make new friendships."
