We are pleased to announce our Drama Foundation taster days are now available all year round.

If you are a student who is looking:
  • to study Drama Foundation after secondary school
  • for additional experience prior to making applications to drama schools or university.

Then why not come along for the day and join in with our current drama students. Our taster days are free to attend and open to students age 17+, and will provide real insight into what it is like to be a student at CSVPA on the Drama Foundation in association with RADA.

The day will involve working alongside current foundation students in classes of voice, movement and acting – all disciplines studied within the foundation.

All you require is loose fitting clothing, an open mind and a desire to study performance post A level.

Why study drama at CSVPA?

We are the only creative arts school in the world to offer a Drama Foundation in association with RADA (Royal Academy of Dramatic Art). Acknowledged to be one of the best drama courses of its kind, our longstanding association with RADA provides us with a unique opportunity to offer an intensive three term theatre training programme in Cambridge.

Under the mentorship and guidance of our RADA accredited lecturing staff, who are themselves practicing theatre professionals, our students train in a variety of disciplines and are challenged to grow both professionally and personally.

Taught in association with...

Charlie Russell, Drama Foundation

"I was so impressed with the course, and how much time is spent on helping the students with auditions for drama schools. I was keen on moving away from home [as] I felt this would add to my maturity when I applied for drama schools.

The affiliation with RADA gave an assurance that the standard of teaching would be high, and when I auditioned I got on well with the Course Director."

Charlie graduated from the course and attained the lead role in a National Youth Theatre Production. After reaching the Reserve list for RADA she accepted a place at LAMDA (London Academy of Music & Dramatic Art).
